Villa Mimosa, with heated pool

Description

The most remarkable characteristic of this villa is its magnificant location in terms of seaview, green scenery, tranquility and close access to Moraira, Benissa and Calpe’s beaches, shopping and dining (all of this in a 1-8km drive). Our guests enjoy the large sun terrace around the extra large 12×5 meter pool (70-170cm depth). Also remarkable is the cosy poolside bar, the tastefully renovated seaview rooms, the new luxury furbishments, and the entertainment facilities like petanque, ping-pong, kids slides&swings, apple TV and much more. This holiday villa is designed to please our guests on location, luxury and fun.

Winter & Summer : thanks to its perfect south-facing location, its heated pool (heat pump standard activated from 1 May – 1 Oct, but upon demand, we can activite to increase temperature ‘at best effort’ also outside this period at extra cost ), and cosy living area with fireplace and several sun terraces, the villa is also ideal for spending sunny automn/winter/spring holidays. In winter you can also enjoy the wood fireplace in the living area.

Let’s share in more detail some concrete characteristics of the villa:

LOCATION:
The villa is situated at the very end of a small deadend street between olive trees, vineyards, almonds trees and mimosa flowers. Being in the geographical center of the Moraira-Benissa-Calpe triangle also means being right in the only real ‘green spot’ of the famous seaview hillside in this area. It’s a bit surreal to be in this isolated valley, but it gives a holiday feeling as you can find in Toscane or the Provence. With the extra benefits of a nice seaview and being in a few minutes at the sea or in one of the 200 restaurants in the area.

The well-known Canis restaurant in Benimarco is uphill at 1km distance, and a nearest (small) supermarket with tasty fresh bakery is at 1.5km. It’s a nice walk to get some bread, but obviously a car is faster.
The coastal road Moraira-Calpe is downhill at 3.5 km driving distance from the villa (1km in birds distance), with immediately access to the sea via Cala Baladrar (great summer beachbar!) or Cala Advocat (great restaurant La Paillotte), both at around 4km (5 minutes) drive from the villa. There are not only many restaurants within a 8km radius (covering Moraira, Calpe, Benissa), but also plenty of bars, hiking trails, beaches/creeks, etcetera. DOMAIN :
The house is situated on a 2,300 sqm domain featuring several terraces, olive, palm, citrus, almond and abricot trees. It borders olive-tree yards, forest and a private game held by a southafrican family that lives at the other side of the valley. So from the terrace you can spot just in front some great wildlife like antilope en zebra (no worries, there is a safe fence). The domain is fenced, and an automatic gate gives access to the parking, which can hold easily 4 cars. The walk from the villa to the nearby restaurant Canis is truly enjoyable qua scenery, even if it is only 1km.

TERRACES :
The heart of activity is centered around the 12x5m large swimming pool (almost double the surface of the standard size pools around here), south-facing and surrounded by new sun loungers, a great poolside bar with music boxes and frigde, a convenient integrated gas BBQ (with grills and plancha) and outdoor kitchen. The new terrace also features a large bamboo-covered dining place. In addition, there are various other places, for instance with lounge set and bali-bed to enjoy the views. Out of the 5 bedrooms, 4 give straight view to the mediterrean, and 3 of them have a wide sliding door towards the pool terrace.

Behind the pool terrace is a second terrace, this is the ‘entertainment area’ with petanque, bali bed, ping pong table, kids swing, kids slide and grass area for kids to play.

The 3th large terrace is situated on the upper floor, on the roof of the bottom floor bedrooms. It lies In front of the living room and 4th bedroom. This 100sqm large terrace has two tables, a nice lounge seating and amazing views.

VILLA :
How is the composition of the villa? You enter the domain through the gate at the end of the dead-end street. It gives you immediately a nice view on the sea, which is on the south side (the entire villa and terrace is south facing, giving all day sun). From the parking you can choose to enter the top floor of the villa or the bottom floor. At the top floor you have a fully equiped ‘winter kitchen’, a dining place and ibiza-inspired living room with fireplace, satelitte TV and above all a breathtaking views on the sea and green valley. From the living room you enter via a 3 meter wide glass door upper terrace with lounge seatings and extra dining area. Also on this floor you will find the master bedroom with kingsize bed (180cm x 200cm) and seperate place , which is ideal for babies or small children to sleep ,and has a nice wood baby bed with a thick baby mattrass. Also at this floor is twin bed room. Finally, there is here a large family bathroom with a bath and a shower.

From this floor, you can take the wide internal stairway towards the bottom floor, which is at the level of the pool, main terrace and outside bar/dining place. At this floor you find 3 new seaview rooms each with queensize bed (160cm wide) +hall+bathroom+toilet+dressing, and with direct access to a terrace. The ensuite bathrooms all have a large shower. One of these rooms has 3 beds (double bed and a single bad in seperate area, ideal for children), with makes that the 5 bedrooms feature 11 sleeps (plus babycots if needed). All bedrooms have airco. Also on this floor is a new and fully equipped summer kitchen. From this kitchen you can go outside towards the the terrace with its large covered dining place, a tropical bar area near the pool, a BBQ porch (with outdoor frigde and small kitchen) a large pool with convenient stairs entry.

Finally, good to know that we help our guests with a private visitor guide that summerizes our own personal tips for finding the best restaurants, shopping, beaches, villages, day visits, etc. And we work with a lady from Benissa who arranges the welcoming of our guests and takes care of cleaning, linnen, etc on changeover days.

Please note we only rent to groups of families , in case of adults only we limit to 8 persons. No bachelor groups.

We are a Belgian family with 2 daughters of 13 and 15 years old. We love spending time in Benissa, either in our Villa Mimosa or Villa Pesol. Both villas are open for holiday rental. We are always happy to assist our guests with extensive information about best activities, beaches, restaurants, shopping, hiking, etc. All best on our personal experience over the past 15 years.
